On Monday, May 18th, 2026, I will be co-organizing and speaking at the workshop “COMPASS: Complexity, Markets, Policy, and AI in Social Systems”, held at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa.

The workshop explores the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in understanding and modeling complex social systems, bringing together researchers across disciplines to discuss the intersection of complexity, markets, and policy.

As a member of the Organizing Committee, I will also speak in Panel 3: AI for Complexity and Economic Systems (16:00 – 17:15), alongside Lorenzo Emer, Giuseppe Squillace, and Anna Gallo.

PhD Student in Artificial Intelligence
Stefano Blando is a PhD student in the National PhD Program in Artificial Intelligence at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and the University of Pisa. His research lies at the intersection of AI, agent-based modeling, and economics. He studies adaptive multi-agent systems, differentiable agent-based models, LLM-based generative agents, and robust quantitative methods for financial and socio-economic data.
